Antisemitism Among the Three Great Monotheistic Faiths

I believe its possible for a person to have genuine affection for the Jewish people and still produce antisemitic expressions and not realize it. I know that sounds strange and maybe even impossible, but one has to view the core root of antisemitism to get an idea of what I’m talking about. Antisemitism goes much deeper than any racial or national issues. Its base is a spiritual one. Adolph Hitler’s hatred for the Jew was not a physical based ideology but rather a spiritual based ideology. Hitler himself is reported to having told his associate, Hermann Rauschning: “I know perfectly well that in the scientific sense there is no such thing as a race. As a politician I need a conception which enables the order which has hitherto existed on a historic basis to be abolished and an entirely new order enforced and given an intellectual basis. And for this purpose the conception of race serves me well.”

Race, Jewish blood, and National Socialism, was only avenues by which Hitler’s spiritual hatred could be expressed in the physical realm. When we understand the full spiritual concept of what a Jew is, and what the Jew represents, it is only then we can begin to see the full concept of what antisemitism actually is. Without using the Bible as a spiritual guide, antisemitism is just another form of racism.

Any form of expression that seeks to separate the Jew from the covenant by which the God of Israel has appointed them is in reality antisemitic! Therefore, any attempt to convert the Jew away from his covenant with God (regardless of the honesty and compassion one might have for the Jew while doing so) is still an act of antisemitism against the Jew and the God of Israel.

Think of what converting the Jew away form the covenant really is doing. It's converting them away from the very element that made them "Jews" to begin with! In a sense it is spiritually and physically "Gentilizing" them. More importantly, it not only dishonors the Jews themselves but the very covenant God made with them. Seeking Jewish conversion can be an willful or an inadvertently expression of denying God’s covenant with Israel. If Jewish conversion were able to run its full course the way missionaries envision it, the Jews as a people along with the covenant itself would be annihilated. My challenge to any Christian disagreeing with me on this, is to examine and ponder what the results would be if the entire Christian world were to abandoned their Christian heritage and be converted to Islam? The same results that would happen to the Christian world are the results that would happen to the Jewish world if they all converted to Christianity.

Islam seeks to destroy the Christian world by converting Christians to Islam and they are doing so at a rapid rate. Islam is the world’s fastest growing religion in the world. The Christian world is becoming well aware of Islam’s threat to Christianity. While the Christian leaders are disgusted with Islam’s goal towards Christianity they forget that the same conversion rule applies to the Christians who fervently seeks Jewish converts. Remember, the Muslims believe they are right in their religion just as much and even probably more so than most Christians believe they are right in their religion. It takes an awful strong faith in Allah to blow oneself into a million pieces in their devotion to him. It’s a strange thing that Islam goes all out to try and convert Christians and Jews, while Christians go all out to and try convert the Muslims and Jews, but the Jews being the tiny minority of the three great monotheistic faiths, don’t attempt to convert either one of them to Judaism. There is a spiritual reason behind this that I will get to.

The annihilation of the God of Israel, or the effect of making the God of Israel powerless, (basically making His word return to Him void (see Isaiah 55:11) is the ultimate goal of antisemitism. General God-haters and antisemites alike know that once they can find a way to annihilate the Jews in any form, (either by physical death, religious conversion, and assimilation) they will in effect have killed God (see Psalms 115: 2,3) because the God of Israel is known by His covenant that He has established with the Jews and the nation of Israel (see Jeremiah 31:36). So I would encourage the Gentile Christians of whom many really do have a compassion for Israel and the Jews, not to try and pull the Jews away for what God has already laid down as a requirement for them which is their Torah (see Deuteronomy 4:2). If nothing else, encourage them to be Torah minded and let God deal with Israel as He so chooses.

It was never the intention of the All-Mighty that His Jewish nation to become like the other nations (Deuteronomy 7:6 / 14:2). Christianity and Islam are Gentile faiths of those other nations (see Deuteronomy 6:14). Though they use the Jewish scriptures as the foundation to their faith, their faith is Gentile oriented and Gentile maintained. Paul's conversion to Christianity caused his name to be changed from a Hebrew name of Saul to a Greco-Roman name of Paul (Acts 13:9). The name "Paul" remains a popular name among Gentiles while the name "Saul" (Solomon / Shlomo) remains popular among the Jews. I love to ask Messianic (Jew-want-to-be) Christians why that is. Paul, being the main author of the New Testament, traveled all over the Gentile world taking his message to them (see Romans 15:16) while Islam rejects God's covenant with Israel via Isaac (see Psalms 105:9,10) in order to accept their Gentle version of the Abrahamic covenant through the Gentile Ishmael (see Sura 37: 101-113). Christianity spread to the Gentile West via Rome while Islam spread throughout the Gentile Middle East via Mecca. But between both of these two massive bodies of land lies a very small strip of land that connects and a particular people with a eternal covenant. As with the onslaught of conversion efforts, isn't it spiritually strange that the Jews historically have received great persecutions in the form of physical attacks from both of the Christian and Islam nations (about 54% combined) while at the same time seeking the total conversion of the tiny Jewish nation, but you never hear or read about the Jewish people attacking either of them on the basis of their religion nor seeking their conversion to their faith?

Here are some amazing facts:

  • The two great world faiths of Christianity and Islam that makes up more than half of the world’s population (54% combined) seeks the total conversion of the tiny Jewish nation (0.22% of the world’s population) to their religion and belief system. To really get a good mental picture of just how offset Judaism is in population compared to the top two major religions of the world (which just happen to be the only two rivals of Judaism) take a look at the graph at the top of this article and notice the big green and red areas representing Christianity and Islam world populations. Then compared those areas to the tiny (hard to see) thin blue line representing Jews in Judaism between the colored areas of Buddhism and the other minority religions.

  • Evangelicals spend approximately 250 million dollars every year on Jewish evangelism including missions to Israel for the sole purpose of converting the Jew, while the Jews spend about 250 millions dollars less then the evangelicals in Gentile proselytizing. How about that for one-sided spending figures? Muslims countries spend billions per year on weapons and political methods intended for the killing off the Jews who will not convert to Islam. Any Jew who converts to Islam can become worry free of any terrorist attacks, just as any Jew who converts to Christianity no longer has to put up with eager missionaries looking for that Jew-feather to put in their Christian hat.

  • It is possible for a Gentile to be righteous outside of Judaism, but in the eyes of both Christianity and Islam, a Jew cannot be righteous hanging onto Law of Moses while converting to Christianity or Islam. This fact has made Judaism the most tolerant of the three monotheistic religions towards those outside their faith. A good question to ponder: During the Crusades when the forces of Christian Europe were fighting the Islamic empire from which both sides included the killing of Jews, who during this time were the Jews striking up a war with?

  • Both Christianity and Islam have made their boasts throughout their history that they, and only they are the new chosen people and are the spiritual replacement of the physical seed of Israel while the nation of Israel bends over backwards to downplay their being chosen of God.

    According to the ancient Talmudic traditions, Israel was the very last (far from the first choice) that God picked to be His chosen people. According to the tradition, it was only because Israel accepted the covenant at Mt. Sinai after all the other nations refused it was how Israel came to become God’s chosen people.

  • Islam and Christianity which together makes up more than half of the world’s population have their foundations based on Judaism. Muslims will not recognized the New Testament as being from God, nor will the Christians recognize the Koran being from God, yet both Christianity and Islam recognize the Torah being from God. This fact is even more amazing when one considers the Jews were not liked and appreciated in both Christendom and Islamic worlds, yet their Torah was.

  • Christianity and Islam are both based only upon religious creeds while Judaism is based on faith and a nation of people. If a Christian stops believing in Jesus he is no longer a Christian. If a Muslim stops believing in Muhammad he is no longer a Muslim. A Jew however, can stop believing in the Torah but he will still remain a Jew - an apostate Jew.

  • Looking at the three great monotheistic religions from the outside, it is impossible for Judaism to be wrong in foundation while the other two monotheistic religions are right in their foundation. This is because without the Torah the New Testament and the Koran has no foundation thereby voiding any claim as the true religion. Therefore, is possible for Judaism to be right in its foundation and the other two be wrong because the Torah is not dependent on either the New Testament or the Koran in establishing its foundation as a true religion. Likewise, If you were to ask a Muslim that if he found out that Islam’s foundation was indeed proven to be false, what religion would he perceive as the next obvious choice as the correct religion? He would more than likely choose either Christianity or Judaism as the correct true religion. If you then were to ask a Christian the exact same question about Christianity, he would pick Judaism as the obvious correct religion. But if you would asked an observant Jew the same exact question regarding Judaism, there is no religion outside of Paganism that he could point to as the next best, obvious choice. There is a spiritual reason for this that goes beyond the time-line as to when each religion began. At the End of Days, when all things then becomes obvious, the world comes seeking the Jews for spiritual guidance.

To the evangelicals, conversion takes top priority over everything else concerning the Jews, even if it meant great hardships and even death for the Jews. The evangelicals would no doubt argue that it is through their Christian love that they labor to see the Nation of Israel converted to Christianity. However, this “top priority” and so-called Christian love actually undermines everything unique about the Jewish nation that sets Israel apart from the rest of the nations. It is the evangelicals’ goal to make the Jewish nation the same as all the other Christian nations on the earth through conversion. If the Christian world’s desire for the Jewish people’s conversion were made reality it would totally destroy the identity of the Nation of Israel as a people of Jews. I know there are going to be people who will not believe this statement because it paints their conversion desire for all Jews in a negative light, so I’ll pose these three questions along with the obvious answers:

  • Q. If all of Israel would have become Christianized in the first century would there be a modern Israel today?
    A. Christian teaching in all of the New Testament reserves no special physical place on earth for the Christian believer, not even the physical land of Israel. The teaching of Jewish Zionism is nowhere found in the New Testament, only the doctrines of “spiritual Jerusalem” and of the spiritual “Israel of God” are taught. If all the Jews converted to Christianity in the first century there would be no peoples of the earth to embrace the spiritual concept of living in the promised land God gave to the ancient Israelites, for there would be no spiritual significant reason to do so. See: Romans 2:28, Romans 9, Galatians 4:26, Galatians 6:15,16 , Revelations 21:2

  • Q. If all of Israel would have become Christianized in the first century would there be a people identifying themselves as descendants from Jacob (Israel) today?
    A. The New Testament teaches that true Jews are the ones who become Christians and that the physical seed of Jacob has been replaced by a spiritual seed of faith to the believer. Therefore, had all of Israel converted to Christianity in the first century there would be no peoples of the earth identified as the descendants of Jacob for there would be no spiritual significant reason to keep track or a remembrance of that physical seed. It is also note worthy that the apostle Paul (the main author of the New Testament) did not have any physical seed of his own and instructed others to follow him in a vow of abstinence if they were spiritually able to do so (I Corinthians 7:8). While this type of vow may not be harmful to a “spiritual seed” doctrine, it can only deplete the physical seed of Israel while directly avoiding the promise that the physical seed of Israel will as numerous as the stars heaven and as the sands of the sea. Therefore this type of revelation also undermines any promises concerning the land of Israel, being that this physical land, spiritually and eternally belongs to a very physical people.

  • Q. If all of Israel would have become Christianized in the first century, would the Law of Moses (by which Jews have remained Jews) be observed by any people on the earth today?
    A. The New Testament teaches that the Law of Moses has been fulfilled and is no longer valid to the Christian believer. Paul’s letter to the Galatians clearly confirms this many times over. Therefore, had all of Israel converted to Christianity in the first century there would be no people remaining on the earth today recognizing themselves to be under the Law of Moses. This would also cause there to be no religion in the earth that is totally based on the Law of Moses - which is exactly how Jews are known as Jews today! Therefore, had all of Israel converted to Christianity in the first century there would be no people on the earth whose spiritual foundation is the Law of Moses, because there would be no spiritual significant reason to keep the Law of Moses. This would result in there being no Torah-believing Jews (therefore no Jews) on the earth - only complete Christian assimilation.

It is an absolute fact that the total conversion of today’s Jewish people (which again, is the aim of every evangelical missionary Christian) would wipe out the Jewish nation from the earth. There would be no more physical seed (a.k.a. chosen people) identified as physical Jews on the face of the earth. I know this sounds mean but it’s the truth in principle, that today's evangelicals are no different (other than not being violent) than Hamas or any other terrorist group that seeks to destroy God’s covenant with the Jews of which the Law of Moses is connected! They just simply use different techniques and methods from those who use terrorism tactics, but which this wasn't always the case. Crusade Christianity and Inquisition Christianity were as every bit evil in terrorizing to Jews as today's Islamic terrorists. Hamas tries to murder the Jews away from their covenant while evangelicals try to covert the Jews away from their covenant. One of their biggest techniques is trying to convince the Jew that the Law of Moses is no longer in effect. There is an onslaught by both the Arabs and the Christians (the basic whole of the Gentile world) to takeover Jewish Israel. The Arabs want to make Israel an assimilated Muslim nation like all the other Muslim nations under the name of Palestine, while the Christians wish to make Israel an assimilated Christians nation like all the other Christian nations, and it’s sad that the secular Israeli government is at fault for allowing both fronts to continue as well as to grow.

I can understand a caring Christian’s true desire for a spiritual revival among the Jewish nation with the belief that only through the Jewish conversion to Christianity can a such a revival occur. However, Christians, and especially the evangelical missionaries, must realize that is wasn’t through the conversion to Christianity that the nation of Israel has been preserved and still survives to this day after three thousand years of persecutions. On the contrary, the fact remains that it was the Jewish people’s dedication to the Torah and the Talmud that has kept the Jewish nation intact as a people and as a nation throughout their tough history. It was not through the conversion to Christianity that brought about the modern phenomenon of the in-gathering of Jews back to Israel during this last century. If the Jews hadn’t been Torah minded during the past two thousand years, there never would have been a physical Jewish people for God to gather back into Israel in the first place. Therefore the great spiritual phenomenon of Jews living once again in their ancient biblical homeland is directly based both spiritually and physically to the Law of Moses and not to any forms of Christianity or Jewish conversion into it. The ingathering of Jews back into their homeland is based on God’s promise through Israelite prophets who just so happened to believe in keeping the Torah of Moses at the time.

If God was wanting all the Jews to become Christians instead of remaining as Jews, He wouldn’t have allowed the Holocaust to happen. Why would He, when in the eyes of the Christian world, the Jews of Germany were supposedly turning their hearts towards Jesus in massive numbers? It is important to understand as well as it speaks volumes, that the two greatest times of mass Jewish conversion to Christianity (as well as mass assimilation) was just before the destruction of the second temple in Israel and just before the Holocaust in Germany! Isn’t that strange? Christian missionaries should realize that God has a special and unique way of doing things when it comes to the Jewish people. He always deals with Israel as a nation, not by a conversion here and a conversion there. It would be in the best interest for the Jews if the evangelicals would stop trying to convert the Jews and interfere with what God has planned for them according to His word that He has specifically spelled out by the Hebrew prophets.

And what do we see. Protests against Israel. Efforts by some Democrats *(including former Speaker Pelosi) to disarm Israel, and realistically, the only rational explanation is ANTISEMITISM.

My Mother's parents, my grandparents Jacob and Yetta Edelstein were from Kishinev, a city with a thriving Jewish community, of Jewish culture and religion. It was under the control of the Russian Empire.

In 1903 they witnessed what was one of the worst Pogroms in Eastern Europe at that time. Violent mobs rampaged through Jewish neighborhoods for two days, burning, smashing, raping and killing.

Armed with knives and machetes, the murderers broke into Jewish homes, where they began stabbing, chopping off heads and stomping frail women and small children to death.

When it was over, 49 Jews were dead, 586 maimed, 1,350 houses and 588 shops destroyed and 2,000 families were left homeless.

The brutality sent shock waves across Russia and around the world. Leo Tolstoy spoke out. Mass rallies were held in Paris, London and New York.

Western governments protested the complicity of the Tsar’s police, who had refused repeated pleas to intervene. The Forward reported the news with a banner headline: “Rivers of Jewish Blood in Kishinev.”

The following is an Eye Witnesses Account of April 6-7, 1903 Kishinev Pogrom.

When my mother and father, sisters and brothers and their four little children dared come out of our place of concealment in the cellar of the friendly cooper who sheltered us, the streets of the city were a shocking sight. Dead bodies were everywhere, many of them horribly mutilated, and in most cased with the clothes torn off. There were ears, fingers, noses lying on the pavements. Many of the bodies had been covered with leaves or with the feathers which had strewn the streets like snow.

Before I secured shelter I saw scenes of torture for an hour or more which I can never forget. Babies were tossed in the air to be caught on the points of spears and swords. Young girls were horribly mistreated before death came to end their torture. I saw these things with my own eyes, No pen or tongue can add anything to the fiendishness of the mobs who swarmed through the streets, crying:"Kill the Jews! Burn their houses! Spare not at all!"

Reported by Abraham Polnovick, a survivor of the Kishinev pogrom of 1903.

October 1905, another 19 Jews were murdered and 56 wounded in the second Kishinev pogrom. Jewish self-defense groups put up resistance to the violence. In this period, Jewish emigration was increasing, particularly to the United States.

Jacob and Yetta escaped the brutal antisemitic violence against Jews in Kishinev and immigrated to America. They arrived through the Port of New York, at Ellis Island, 24th January, 1906."

Three words capture the profound pathos of Jewish history – past and present.

Three words convey the tragedy of the world’s oppression of the Jew.

They are the unspoken yet self-understood prejudice against the one people whose simple existence seems to continue, throughout the ages, to bear the brunt of almost universal antisemitism.

“Take the win” are the words of President Biden to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in in the aftermath of a Saturday night which almost, if not for divine intervention and incredible military skill, might well have spelled the destruction of the Jewish homeland and the death of millions of its inhabitants.

Until this past weekend, Iran restricted its nefarious activities to its puppet governments. Iran hid its role as the world’s chief master of terrorism by commissioning others to do its dirty work. Unfortunately, it finally recognized that it had nothing to fear by going public. The only warning it previously received from the president of the world’s superpower, the United States of America, was the one word “Don’t!” — whose rejection was several times followed by no punitive consequences.

So Iran gleefully sent weapons of mass destruction. There were drones and bombs and cruise missiles deployed not against military bases but indiscriminately — against civilians, against homes and hospitals and gathering places of young and old, of babies, of the aged and infirm, of anyone who bore the despised appellation of Israeli or Jew. The plan was in fact to carry out a replay of the horrific events of October 7 – masterminded, we now know, in great part by these selfsame rulers of Iran.

If ever the word miracle was appropriate for an event that, if successful, would have been historically recorded as a tragedy comparable to major wars of destruction, the outcome of this war was a true miracle. More than 99% of the weapons meant to murder were rendered ineffective. And the war failed spectacularly to achieve its goals. A war to annihilate an entire people. A war of genocide. A war against civilians. A war not for land, but solely for the death of its inhabitants.

And here is the most remarkable aspect of its aftermath: What is the price Iran will have to pay for its adventure of evil against a member nation of the United Nations?

The American president has offered his “advice” — in a manner that makes it sound more like one of the Commandments on stone: “Take the win!”

Translate into simple English: When a Jew survives — even if it may have cost him a billion dollars for the weapons he required – that is “a win.” Never mind penalties, consequences, punishments, or preventative measures to insure no repeated attacks are ignored.

There is a classic story of a rabbi in Poland walking with his son on a street where custom and law demanded that if a gentile approached they would be required to move off the curb to the street, often filled with dirt and the droppings of horses. As a non-Jew came closer, the father dutifully took his son off the curb and said to him: See, my son, that is a good gentile. What makes you say so, the son asked. You do not know him. The rabbi replied: See, the gentile noticed me. He saw my beard, my hat, my Jewish garments. We know that he hates me and he surely wants to throw stones at us. But he does not do so. He must be a good person.

And that, in the age of pogroms, of unfettered antisemitism, of open and unrestrained racism against Jews – made a rabbi spared from being stoned feel happy enough to “take the win.”

Woe to us if we have not moved on from the powerlessness of the Polish ghetto and the victimization of our European ancestors.

“Never again” post-Holocaust dare not remain merely an unfulfilled slogan. Nor should “take the win” ever be considered sane strategy for accepting the unacceptable simply because we survived."

It’s the “ceasefire now” crowd praising Hamas, demanding Tel Aviv burn to the ground, and wanting rockets to fall on Israeli citizens.

This, along with calls for pogroms against Jews around the world, is “free speech” at Columbia University. Explain to me how this isn’t like Charlottesville minus the tiki torches. Explain to me about how this is just freedom of speech that needs to be protected for academic discussions.

If there was a fraction of as many people at this protest, who made zero calls for violence (which is what these chants are) and only said (not that I agree with it) that they as students and faculty refuse to call people by the pronouns of their choice, the camp would be cleared, and the students would all be expelled. And none of these protestors would say that any free speech rights were compromised, none of them would say that it was about protecting a diversity of viewpoints in an academic setting, etc.

These protests, and the university administration’s tacit approval of them, are proof that our universities are radicalizing factories for terrorism and people who want to destroy this country (they openly chant for it).

That this doesn’t make most gentile liberals as mad as Charlottesville shows that they are as vile as any of the people on the right that they claim they detest.

And you can’t even say it’s because of how Israel has handled the war. This was happening IN RESPONSE to October 7th before Israel even went into Gaza.

Show me you have moral clarity and a spine, or as far as I’m concerned, you’re just a sniveling coward.

Sure, it was real easy with your “omg Stop Asian Hate” and your stupid black FB squares. You risked nothing.

I dare you. I dare you to even say something on your timeline as innocuous as “no matter what anyone thinks about the war in Gaza, normalizing and celebrating terrorist organizations and governments like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime, when most of the Arabs and Persians who live under them can’t stand them, is the normalization of jihadis - which is detrimental not only to the safety of Jews but to millions and millions of Arabs. "It is insanity what is going on, but not surprising. When liberal campuses for decades were allowing anti-Israel BDS groups, Apartheid Weeks, CAIR, Jewish terrorist supporter groups like IfNotNow and JVP, and to a lesser extent, JStreet, to operate, what did they think was going to happen?

Even when I was a grad student at Columbia from 2011 - 2013, I saw a very weak anti-Israel Hillel. It is absolutely heartbreaking what the Jewish students at Columbia are going through, with a rabbi even warning Jewish students not to return after Pesach, and now a similar dangerous situation is unfolding at both Yale and at the University of Michigan.

At Columbia, the administration waited nearly 2 days until they allowed the NYPD to come and arrest the terrorist scum, and being that it is liberal NYC, the scum were out in less than 24 hours, and re-joined an ever larger protest back on campus. Jews are being spat on, kicked, punched, and when Jewish parents have come on campus to pick up their kids, are shouted at to 'go back to Poland.' Clearly Columbia is no place of education or they would know that the Poles never considered Jews to be Polish. Nor are any Jews 'from Poland.' Jewish students are reporting that nearly all the pro terrorists on campus are students and not outside groups.

As the professor and thinker Gad Saad, a Lebanese Jew, said recently, the replacements (for the antisemitic college Presidents) will come from the same infected pipeline. The best thing Jews can do, is to stop sending kids to anti-Israel schools, for sure to stop donating to these schools, and to emphasize the need for accurate Zionism education at schools that are not anti-Israel, to properly educate students. Schools like Columbia, Harvard, UPenn, Yale, and U of Michigan are done, not to recover.

The Jew hating wildfire is no longer containable unless someone outside that pipeline comes in to truly clean house."

This holiday is one of the more interesting holidays of the year. Most other holidays have one, two, and sometimes three Torah commandments that are associated with that holiday.

Passover has endless commandments, customs, and rituals.

The Passover Seder is one of the very few Torah commandments that are fulfilled even by the most secular Jews. Others include the mitzvah of mezuza, Yom Kippur prayers, and others.

I could probably write a book just on my thoughts about Passover but I want to focus on one paragraph that has become even more popular over the past decade thanks to a song written by Yonatan Razel and sang by the Jewish singer, Yaakov Shwekey.

The verse is

‎"והיא שעמדה לאבותינו ולנו שלא אחד בלבד עמד עלינו לכלותינו אלא שבכל דור ודור עומדים עלינו לכלותינו והקב"ה מצילנו מידם".

It means “And this is what protected us and our forefathers, that not one enemy stood against the Jews to annihilate them, but rather, in every generation, they try to annihilate us and God saves us from their hand.”

The obvious question that jumps out at you is What is ‘this’? What protected us?

There are of course many explanations. Some say it’s a continuation of the previous chapter that speaks about the covenant between God and Abraham in which God promises Abraham that the Jewish people will flourish in their land.

Others explain that it’s the fact that in every generation, we have enemies who come after us, but they never fully unite because they hate each other even more. Iraq and Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas, etc.

Another explanation is kind of a play on the word, והיא.

The first letter the vav equals 6 in gematria. It stands for the 6 tractates of the mishna. The second letter. ה, which equals 5 stands for the 5 books of the Torah. The third letter, י, equals 10, for the ten commandments. And the final letter א, which equals one, is Hashem Himself. Those are the things that protected us, the Torah and Hashem.

But there is another answer that I read that spoke to me, especially this year.

It is exactly the persecution that helped us survive as a nation.

How can that be?

It is sadly the case that throughout the generations, Jews think that if they assimilate, the nations will love them because they are just like them.

The opposite is true.

The more we assimilate, the more they hate us.

Why is that? Wouldn’t you expect the opposite?

The answer is we are a light unto the nations. We always have been and always will be. This isn’t about race, this is about education and priorities. The Jews have brought unprecedented contributions to the world. "

Sometimes we need something external to remind us who we are.

In our generation, the new wave of antisemitism fits perfectly into this script.

Again, we thought we can assimilate and be just like the nations and again, the nations waved their finger at us and “No no no, you’re not just like us.”

Right now, we are in it. The part where Hashem saves us from this is yet to come, so it’s hard to see it, but this wave will be no different than previous waves and radical Islam will join the long list of its predecessors who tried to annihilate the Jews. They’ll go where they belong and get to meet ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, philistines, Assyrian empire, Byzantine empire, Soviet Union, crusaders, and on and on and on.

The ending is good but the journey, as hard as it is, as heart wrenching as it may be, is necessary for us to grow and reignite our light, which is exactly what we’re seeing today.

Jews who have never kept Shabbat are now keeping Shabbat.

Jews who never prayed are now praying.

Jews who never put on tefillin are now putting on teffillin.

Jews who never felt Jewish are now proud of their Judaism.

Our light was flickering and is now back shining bright.

Vehi sheamda, this is what helped us survive, that our light never went out because our enemies didn’t let it.

But the end of the story is that Hashem will save us from this persecution just like He always did throughout the generations.

Omar’s statement is far more deadly for Jews than things like the idiocy that has come out or Marjorie Taylor Greene’s mouth. Omar is literally using the same tactics as Hitler to present Zionist Jews as a threat to humanity (which would be true if we actually were all “pro-genocide”), and who must therefore be stopped by any means necessary. And of course, she’s gaslighting us, because the only people calling for genocide are those at the camps she if visiting and celebrating. They call for it night and day. They are actually pro-genocide. When asked, whole swaths of them openly support the use of terrorism and violence to destroy the state of Israel. They are openly calling for all Jews to be ethnically cleansed from Israel, saying they won’t give up their protest until all of the Jews in Israel “go back where they came from.” They openly endorse Hamas and Hezbollah, who have stated very clearly that they intend to drive every single Jew from Israel using murder. These are openly pro-genocide protests, and Omar is calling those who disagree with them “pro-genocide.”

Do not be fooled by the presence of anti-Zionist Jews at these protests. If you say that the only Jews you hate and wish violence upon are Zionists, you are talking about between 80-90% of American Jews. And if you include Jews who can’t stand Israel and think they’re generally a terribly run nation that is practicing apartheid but that it’s still antisemitism to call for the destruction of Israel and for everyone there to “go back where they came from,” you’re now talking about over 95% of Jews.

If you hate over 95% of Jews, your Jew-hatred is off the charts.

So enough of this nonsense. Stop with this mindless loyalty to a party that has no problem with blood libel against Jews. This is not the Democratic Party of 20+ years ago. It’s been taken over by radicals and people whose support for the military-industrial complex have encouraged a foreign policy path of playing both sides of the Middle East against each other for war and profit and so that no matter what America will come out on top. "I live in the south, I'm 28, Christian, white female. Why does this matter? I guess because im not Jewish so I don't know what it is like to be Jewish and experience Jewish hate. This doesn't mean I've never experienced prejudice or hate. Being female I have experienced sexism and and the fear that makes me cary mace and keep an eye on my drink. I've never experienced the historical and generational repercussions that the holocaust has caused even to this modern day. I do feel like in some ways women have been fighting generational curses and wounds as well, I know blacks have too. I am openly Christian and I've been harrassed and made fun of because of my faith, though I've never felt unsafe because of my faith, but Ever since these church and synagogue shootings I sometimes wonder if my church could be next. My uncle (a non believer) married a non practicing Jewish woman a few years ago. He told me a story not too long ago about how he mentioned to some people while they were out in public that she was Jewish. He didn't think much about it but she got upset and told him "you can't just go around telling people that" I can't imagine feeling like I need to hide such a big part of of myself, my faith and/or nationality. I'm openly Christian, I wear a cross on my neck, I pray in public over my meals, I talk about God and Jesus, so i couldn't imagine feeling like I need to hide my faith. I wouldn't feel whole if I did since it's such a big part of me and my family. The reason i mention all of this is because as I contemplate hate in all its forms, racism, sexism, anti semitism, homophobia, etc... I ask myself why is this part of the human condition? And why since most of us have experienced some form of hate in our lives do we continue to perpetuate it? Someone not too long ago mentioned the white savior complex to me and then I watch videos of black people hating Jews and jews hating blacks and women hating other women and all these groups of people who imo should be United by their suffering or pain but instead are divided by it and perpetuating it. I asked one of my neighbors why she thought the Jews were hated so much she told me she feels like it's a PR issue. She mentioned how the Christian churches are constantly reaching out to the community holding trunck or treats in the neighborhoods, falls festivals and fairs, soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, etc...and how those things have reached into her life and thus created positive associations for her but that she has never experienced that from the Jewish faith. She also said most every day people aren't educated about anything Jewish, they don't know about Israel, or Zionism, they only know about the holocaust (and some don't know about that). This is just one drop in the opinion bucket however true or untrue it may actually be, but it is her experience and feelings and thus justified to her. I guess what I'm getting at is idk why Jewish people are so hated, why any of us are for that matter. I feel like the only thing I can do as someone who isn't Jewish Is just teach my children to love and to not be silent when I see hate. Beyond that at this present time just accept that humans are deeply flawed as a whole and by recognizing this we can put up safety barriers against this like laws."

"When I see the antisemitism pervading American colleges and universities it makes me totally angry at the educators who have poisoned the minds of students starting in high schools and continuing in colleges. These students should be made to see the actual videos taken by Hamas on October 7th showing the savagery conduct by the monstrous devils butchering rapeing.,burning , babies in ovens, kidnapping hostages and dragging people still alive throughout the Gaza Strip while the populace cheered on these animals.
When I was in high school taking a driver's education class we were shown a movie that was taken after the results of fatal accidents, blood,guts and everything to remind you that these were real people who sometimes were at fault using drugs or alcohol or were killed by those that did. I know it affected me.
At the end if World War 2 General Dwight Eisenhower when the Nazi concentration camps were liberated forced the residents of the towns surrounding the camps( who claimed they knew nothing despite ashes of those murdered) to see hundreds of dead bodies stacked up like dead fish. The Mayors and residents cried when they saw what the Nazis did and were forced to confront it.
Every day now Holocaust survivors who've told their horror stories on video are dying from old age and health issues.
Unfortunately we have an old cognitively impaired president who only cares about being reelected and keeping his opponent from campaigning through devious means.
When I see these hysterical young girls wearing hajibs and spouting their vitriol against Jews it makes me think what poisoned these students? I know there are thousands of pro Palestinian professors spewing Jew hatred aimed for destruction of Israel and shouting kill the Jews.
Some if those professors celebrated October 7th openly and would like to see it repeated.
It's time for the Federal Government to stop funding these schools where the students are not being protected by mobs denying the Jewish students the right to attend classes while their parents pay taxes that the government uses to funds these colleges. Middle Eastern countries are funneling millions to those educators to foment the dangerous results of the current protests.
Wake Up America because if all the Jews disappeared the radical Muslims will try to kill the Christians next.

A Consoling Solidarity From Christians
For Christians, one of the most humbling aspects of the conversations had here was the gratitude the Jewish participants expressed. One rabbi from the New York metropolitan area said he was “elated” by the Catholic leadership on display. He said that his WhatsApp was constantly relaying stories from his synagogue about encounters his people have had in daily life with Christians who stop them in the grocery store and wherever else to say they are sorry about the attack and are praying. The solidarity, he said, is consoling in the wake of the attacks and some of the ugly words and deeds we’ve seen in response, especially on some elite university campuses.

So, it was also no small thing to have a Catholic university not only host the conference, but to offer any Jewish students in higher education in the United States who do not feel safe in their schools because of antisemitism an expedited transfer to Franciscan U.

The Philos Project had a day of action during the conference, encouraging people to bring white roses to synagogues in their local areas. It’s a small thing, but the hotel I’m staying in has a quote from Mother Teresa hanging up by the elevators, about doing small things with great love. Giving out roses to synagogues isn’t going to eradicate antisemitism, as Kevin Roberts, the president of the Heritage Foundation, said must be nothing less than our goal, but it can be a grace-filled contribution to something better, bearing some light amid barbaric and perverse manifestations of the diabolical evil of antisemitism."

The Red Cross has not visited Israeli hostages once since October 7th, and everyone seems to be ok with that. They had one job. Can’t make this stuff up.

Three Hasidic Jews were violently mugged early Monday morning in two separate incidents in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

A Brooklyn resident allegedly sprayed a Hasidic man with an unknown substance last Friday in Crown Heights and made anti-Semitic remarks. The suspect was arrested and charged with a hate crime.
Tires on over 50 vehicles owned by Jews were slashed over the weekend in the predominantly Jewish town of Lakewood, New Jersey. All of the victims were Jewish. This is the second time this month that this type of attack has taken place in Lakewood. Police are treating it as a bias crime.
Unknown assailants fired BB guns at an LA yeshiva ten days ago.
An attack ten days ago on two Jewish boys in Toronto is being treated as a hate crime. This comes one week after two anti-Semitic incidents in Montreal. Though anti-Semitic incidents are considered rare in Canada, 2018 marked an all-time high.

Jews are “Stupid” When it Comes to Anti-Semitism

This assessment that an era is ending was shared by Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific end-of-days author.

In a disturbing note, these attacks are intentionally being underreported by the media. An article in the New York Times in October 2018 documented this disturbing twist.

“No other American city is more closely associated with Jewish identity than New York or more adamantly imagines itself as the capital of liberalism’s most cherished values of tolerance, acceptance, and diversity.”

“Anti-Semitic incidents have constituted half of all hate crimes in New York this year, according to the Police Department. To put that figure in context, there have been four times as many crimes motivated by bias against Jews — 142 in all — as there have against blacks. Hate crimes against Jews have outnumbered hate crimes targeted at transgender people by a factor of 20.”

The article goes on to note that unlike other hate crimes in other parts of the country, hate-crimes targeting Jews in New York are rarely perpetrated by aggressors associated with right-wing groups. These attacks are more commonly carried out by ethnic minorities. As a result, left-wing advocacy groups and the mainstream media do not react as strongly, if at all.

“It is to some extent because it refuses to conform to an easy narrative with a single ideological enemy,” the NY Times wrote. “When a Hasidic man or woman is attacked by anyone in New York City, mainstream progressive advocacy groups do not typically send out emails calling for concern and fellowship and candlelight vigils in Union Square, as they often do when individuals are harmed in New York because of their race or ethnicity or how they identify in terms of gender or sexual orientation.”


In short, because most of the attacks against Jews do not conform to a left-wing narrative and are, in fact, problematic to a narrative that portrays blacks and people-of-color as victims, they are sidelined by the media and politicians.

It was a place for enquiring minds where you went to learn how to question, how to tolerate other points of view and how to counter them with constructive argument. It was also a place to enjoy a sometimes hedonistic social life. Having a degree was seen as the gateway to a good career. In the UK until the early 2000s it was also free.

Today that does not exist. They are places of intolerance and violence, where to having an opposing view to the zeitgeist is unacceptable and can endanger you. If my children were of university age I would discourage them from going. Why bother? They come out with massive debt, are brainwashed by their peers and the teaching staff and if they are Jewish, their lives are in danger. They are unprotected by the authorities.

Unless they wish to go into a profession such as medicine or law it is far better they learn a trade or go out to work and start a career that way. Bring back apprenticeships and technical colleges. After all this time, we should stop believing that only academic education matters."

Columbia students weaponized antisemitism with posters of skunks with Israeli flags on their backs posted around campus. Weaponized antisemitism looks like a truck parked outside a huge protest at Columbia that claimed “Israel steals Palestinian organs.”

We point out the inconsistency in allowing other minority groups at Columbia — except for Jews — to define harm based on the effect on the listener, rather than the intent of the speaker (even when some members of those minority groups experience harm differently).

Your opinion letter repeatedly downplays the harm that many Jews on campus have experienced. You say you care about keeping students “safe from real harm” while ignoring the numerous cases of faculty using their positions of power to engage in virulent hate speech like calling all Israeli students at Columbia “dangerous” because they served in the IDF, and engaging in other discriminatory actions that have been documented at Columbia for decades."

"You minimize the countless and ongoing violations of university rules, such as ignoring university policies on protests, moving barricades, and disrupting invited speakers, events, and shared spaces. You seem to feel there is no “real harm” to Jews who witness protests where people scream “There is no safe place, death to the Zionist state!” “Globalize the Intifada!” and “We don’t want two states, we want all of it!” saying these protesters are simply “advocating for Palestinian liberation.”

You brush off the ongoing appearance of swastikas on walls and virulent posters in dorms, study partners refusing to work with Jews, and other reported and unreported cases of basic antisemitism. You ignore the danger of allowing actual terrorists to speak on campus without consequence.

You use the “As a Jew” argument to claim that your voices have not been heard, but ignore when other Jews are silenced, such as when Jewish and Israeli students and faculty who disagree with anti-Zionist views are unwelcome and ostracized.

You use the Jerusalem Definition of Antisemitism, but it is the IHRA Definition which has been accepted by more than 1,000 global entities including the United States government, 42 other countries, and 31 states including New York.

We wish that Columbia had been more effective at preventing physical and verbal attacks, harassment, death threats, and ongoing terrifying disruptions on campus, so that a congressional investigation, two lawsuits, and a U.S. Department of Education Investigation would not have been necessary.

Dear colleagues, you are still our family. We hope your hearts are big enough to have empathy for the pain of both Jews and Palestinians, and your minds are open enough to engage in meaningful and constructive dialogue about our shared future.

We are certain Columbia can become a place where it is safe for Jews to express our diverse identities proudly, without silencing each other. We likely have many shared Jewish values, one of which is the mission to defend the oppressed and bring light onto the world. Let’s come together to celebrate our shared (if not painful) history and values and find a common way to end all forms of oppression and hatred."

Many Jewish students feel unsafe to go onto campus just as they did in the 1930s when brown shirted Nazi thugs physically blocked their access to universities.

Apologists insist that today’s hostile incidents are isolated cases, and the protestors are merely standing up for Palestinians, but this is a falsehood and a lie, designed to distract and mask the rampant eruption of Jew hatred that has been on open display since the October 7 terrorist attack.

That attack unleashed a tsunami of hatred against Jews worldwide, removing the thin veneer of protection that existed between civilisation and anarchy, and exposing the world to a vicious Jew-hatred that had been bubbling under the surface for a very long time. Today, many Jews feel that same vulnerability and isolation, as they see the Jewish State of Israel demonized by many in the world community, who fallaciously accuse it of genocide, starvation and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

This has encouraged more violent protests around the world, including Australia, where protestors have set up encampments at the universities of Melbourne and Sydney. They too want you to believe they are protesting for “justice”.

But the hypocrisy is clear.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have been killed by their fellow Muslims in Syria and Yemen, yet no-one marched through the streets of London demanding justice for them. Muslim Uyghurs are kept in concentration camps in China, yet there are no mass movements shouting, “Free the Uyghurs!” There are also hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Lebanese refugee camps kept purposely stateless by their hosts with very few rights, but no university students have protested that.

Only silence.

Yet when Jews are involved, demonstrators conveniently find their voices and their faux moral outrage, twisting the narrative so completely that Hamas is portrayed as the innocent victims and Israel as the perpetrators!

Antisemitism is poisonous to society, and it can only be countered by strong unequivocal political leadership. Otherwise, the heinous attack by Hamas on October 7 that should have awoken the world to the realities that Jews and Israel face, will end up just reinforcing what many Jews already knew.

The world may move on, but for Jews, it’s the same old story."
